Pressing Need

Hey friends and family,

I wanted to take a quick moment to give you a brief update on how things are going as well as inform you about a need that we have right now.

The update.

God has been so faithful to us. Judah and Elijah both had check ups at the doctor this week (their 2.5 year and 6 month check ups respectively) and they checked out great. Totally healthy and on the right track. Judah is over 3ft tall and just under 35lbs and Elijah is 19lbs 10ozs. We got a couple of big ole’ boys!

Back in August I had the incredible opportunity to travel with a part of our worship team to Australia to serve some churches and church planters there. This was an absolutely incredible trip. We began in Brisbane and Sydney and led worship for a few one night, evangelistic events and capped it off with a conference in Melbourne. This conference was the first ever national Acts 29 conference in that part of the world. We saw around 600 pastors, church planters, leaders, volunteers and families come to worship Jesus and study His Word. It was a humbling and energizing experience.

Rachel and I are beginning the process of praying through what God may have next for us. This is very bitter-sweet. It feels like we just got settled in here and now we’re already talking about leaving. We’ve made some incredible friends, fallen in love with our church and really taken a liking to the city and yet we are excited for the next step. We are excited to lead, to have our own church family and to put into practice all that we have been learning. The residency isn’t technically up until next summer but the plan for us is to begin looking for a church where I can serve in a worship pastor type role now. If God calls us somewhere before next summer then we would trust His timing and follow that call. We would greatly appreciate your prayers as we begin this process over the coming weeks and months.

The need.

Last week I received an update on my support from our finance team and after crunching a few numbers we came to this realization: Beginning next month, our support balance will officially go into the negative unless we are able to raise an additional $1,200 per month for the remainder of our tenure here in Austin. We know and believe that God is all-powerful, all-sufficient and perfectly faithful so we are trusting in His providence.

I want to simply ask you 3 things:

  1. That you would pray that God would provide the funds to meet the needs of our family.
  2. That you would prayerfully consider partnering with our family financially.
  3. That you would share our story and information with a few people over the next couple of weeks that may be interested in supporting us.
